Kim Clijsters has beaten Serena Williams to book a place in the US Open final after the defending champion was issued with a code violation on match point. Serena was docked a point for yelling at an official who called a foot fault when trailing 5-6, 15-30 in the second set. The unseeded Clijsters reached the final after winning 6-4 7-5.
